Carlyn Young RD, LD

Carlyn Young RD, LD holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Western Michigan University and completed her dietetic internship in Michigan and Oregon. She is greatly fulfilled by empowering patients to create sustainable, healthy dietary changes. She’s developed a person-centered approach to create trust and understanding. She loves an adventure, so when she’s not advocating for nutrition she’s either in the mountains skiing or swimming.

Frankie Ann Mauti MS, RDN, LD, CDE

Frankie Ann Mauti a registered and licensed dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator who works as the clinical nutrition coordinator and outpatient nutrition counselor at St. Charles Health System in Bend. She has her master’s degree in counseling from Oregon State University and specializes in working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, chronic dieting, emotional eating, body image disturbances and overeating. She provides individual counseling, leads groups and teaches nutrition classes. She also works with other diabetes educators to promote lifestyle changes among clients with diabetes. Frankie’s philosophy focuses on holistic health and implementing small achievable goals that easily fit into her clients’ lives. She concentrates on helping people get in touch with their body’s hunger and fullness signals to promote nutritional balance. Frankie works extensively to help individuals determine emotions and coping patterns that inhibit diet and exercise changes. In her own time, she enjoys working around her small farm and raising dairy goats and chickens, gardening and bee keeping.

Kelsi Fraley RD, LD

Kelsi Fraley RD, LD is a registered and licensed dietitian in the state of Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in nutritional science from Pepperdine University and experience as a former dietetic intern from Central Washington University. Kelsi has worked in hospitals along the west coast, most recently in the Portland area at Legacy Health, where she cultivated a new understanding and desire to help with food insecurity and malnutrition prevention. Kelsi believes in balanced nutritional counseling in which the enjoyment of food is just as important as long-term health goals. When not helping others along their health journey, Kelsi enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking or simply getting lost in a good book.

LuAnn Lehnertz, RD, LD, CDE

LuAnn Lehnertz has been a full-time registered dietitian for many years, covering Redmond and Bend. LuAnn has been on the team since St. Charles started the program in 2000. She helps people prepare for, recover and be successful with their journey through individual nutrition therapy and facilitating support groups. LuAnn holds a certification as a group exercise leader through ACSM with particular passion for adult cardio, strength and balance, and bike spinning.

Mia Neeb RD, CSP, LD

Mia Neeb is a board certified pediatric dietitian who has worked at St. Charles since 2006. Mia covers the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, general pediatrics, and several multidisciplinary clinics including the PEDAL developmental and feeding clinic, cardiology prevention clinic and type one diabetes clinics. Mia has more than 15 years of experience working with children with special needs. She received her education at the University of Pittsburgh and has lived and worked in a variety of children’s hospitals before settling in Bend.

When she’s not working, Mia is keeping busy with her family and two daughters. They enjoy the outdoor lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest.

Rebekah Favia MS, RD, LD

Rebekah Favia earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Idaho. Prior to becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, she served in the Air Force before moving to Bend in 2004 and working with Volunteers in Medicine. She feels that her diverse background provides her a unique perspective that lends to a more holistic approach taking into account the individual’s health concerns, lifestyle and budget. Rebekah enjoys working with patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She sees her role as an outpatient dietitian as an opportunity to empower and support patients to develop healthy eating styles to meet their own individual health and lifestyle needs.

Tracey Connell RN, CDE

Tracey Connell is a registered nurse and a Certified Diabetes Educator who works as an outpatient educator for the Diabetes and Nutrition Center for St. Charles Health System. She is presently obtaining her bachelor’s degree in nursing through Grand Canyon University. Tracey has 23 years of experience as a nurse and prior to her work in the Diabetes and Nutrition Department, she worked in-home with clients with chronic illnesses including diabetes. She specializes in all forms of diabetes and brings a greater depth of understanding of diabetes, so that her patients get a complete picture of their condition and the importance of managing it. Tracey’s philosophy is based in helping clients understand diabetes on a cellular level so that they feel motivated to begin to make small changes that positively impact their lives. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, raising chickens, cooking and being outdoors.

Tracey sees patients at all of our hospitals in Bend, Redmond, Prineville and Madras.
