Wilderness Garbage and Recycling Service in La Pine has a long history of lending a helping hand when a community is in need. They started CAN Cancer more than a decade ago - a fundraising campaign, in collaboration with disposal companies in Central Oregon, that provides community assistance to cover non-medical living expenses for Central Oregonians fighting all forms of cancer. But their community involvement doesn’t end there – they also support The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the La Pine Community Kitchen, and offer college scholarships to seniors at both La Pine and Gilchrist High Schools. So, when our organization put out the call for help, they answered with a generous monetary donation to our Hero Fund.
To say Wilderness Garbage and Recycling loves their community is an understatement. They exemplify our values of Accountability, Caring and Teamwork, and we’re honored to call them a community partner.
