Highest Need
St. Charles is a non-profit health system that provides care to all regardless of their ability to pay for services. Donations made to the area of highest need fund priority projects that support the ongoing mission of improving the quality of life for our patients and their families and meeting the urgent health care needs of our community. Advanced Illness Management
When you are struggling with an advanced illness, you need answers, relief, expertise and support. The St. Charles Advanced Illness Management (AIM) program and our hospice services in Prineville and Madras are designed to help patients and their families maximize physical, emotional and spiritual quality of life and ensure their wishes for their health care are honored.
Cancer Services
The St. Charles Cancer Center brings together leading research, technology and personalized guidance to deliver the highest quality patient care — both physically and emotionally. Our compassionate medical staff helps, heals and supports patients on the winding road through diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The St. Charles Cancer Center’s five-year survival rates for breast, prostate, colorectal and lung cancer are among the top five percent nationally. We are leading the fight against cancer with our state-of-the-art treatments and programs, innovative clinical trials and personal interaction.
Heart Services
The St. Charles Heart and Lung Center is proud to offer cardiovascular care that rivals the best programs in the nation. Our program provides comprehensive, patient-focused care from leaders in cardiac disease detection, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, rehabilitation and clinical research. In addition to national accolades for our program, St. Charles Bend has the lowest mortality rate for heart attack patients of all hospitals in the state of Oregon.
Women and Children's Services
St. Charles Health System and the teams at our Family Birthing Centers in Bend and Madras help Central Oregonians begin or grow their families in a soothing and joyful environment. St. Charles offers the region’s only designated Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Bend hospital along with outpatient pediatric rehabilitation. We also offer complete OB/GYN services at the Center for Women's Health in Redmond and several family care clinics throughout Central Oregon.
