This year's Saints Gala is set for Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, and will be held completely online. It will include live and silent auctions, raffles and giveaways. Because most of us haven’t been able to travel as we’d like this year, St. Charles Foundation is bringing a little bit of the tropics to you. 2020 beneficiary
This year has brought a series of challenges: COVID-19 and its effect on the economy, employment uncertainty, political division and, for families, adjusting to new ways of schooling. The importance of our local mental health care system has never been more pronounced. For most of us, these challenges can be extremely stressful. For someone struggling with mental health issues, they can be completely overwhelming. It’s no surprise more people are seeking help from the skilled providers at St. Charles Behavioral Health.
Sometimes, as patients transition from one level of care to another, they don’t reach out for support, their symptoms worsen, and they reach a crisis point, ending back up in emergency care. Among mental health providers, this is known as “the revolving door.” It’s better for everyone – the individual, the health system and the community – if we can keep them from falling through the cracks in the first place.
St. Charles Behavioral Health is launching a new program called Stop the Revolving Door to provide extra support to patients and potential patients of all ages – from children to seniors – as they move through the mental health system. By walking alongside them through those difficult transitions, we can ensure they get the help they need and, ultimately, stop the revolving door, one person at a time.
All proceeds from this year’s Saints Gala go toward providing startup funds to get this vital program up and running.

A successful 2019 event
The Saints Gala has a 22-year tradition of raising funds to provide outstanding care for the people of Central Oregon, and 2019 was no exception. With the help of our generous donors, $250,000 was raised to invest in the St. Charles trauma program to make it even stronger. Thank you to all who supported the trauma program.
